Attractive apartment building in a rural setting with effective use of space In Rupertshofen (Southern Germany), nine residential units and one commercial unit were created in consideration of the German efficiency standard KfW 40 Plus
The three-storey apartment building which also disposes of an underground parking perfectly combines functionality and aesthetics. All nine accommodation units were ingeniously designed and provide utmost comfort and quality of life for their inhabitants. Balconies, terraces and the garden allow all residents to enjoy nature and to recover from everyday life. Furthermore, the building disposes of a lift and barrier-free access in order to guarantee comfortable use for all persons.
While constructing this apartment building adhering to the standards of the German building class 4, great importance was attached to quality, sustainability and effective use of the given space. The timber frame construction not only gives the building a natural look, but also minimizes the ecological footprint. The low-energy building with the German efficiency standard KfW 40 Plus practically is the full package of carbon dioxide retaining construction. Wood fiber insulation for walls and tops in the form of insulation boards as well as air injected wood fiber insulation were also used in this building. CLT BOX – Ceiling FS (timber ceilings for enhanced soundproofing and fire protection requirements) and CLT BOX – Ceiling create a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the residential premises and therefore emphasise the environmentally friendly concept of the property.
Thanks to the high level of prefabrication of the elements, the construction period of the building with 882 square meters was only 14 months.
