A production hall of the future
Sustainability, innovation & craftsmanship Spacious, modern production hall for Gmeiner carpentry's timber construction dreams
In the "Oberried" industrial estate in Krauchenwies, a production hall was built that leaves nothing to be desired: An impressive "NEXT GENERATION" building for the carpentry firm Gmeiner, which blends perfectly into the natural surroundings with its wooden façade.
In the production hall, the dedication to wood is not only reflected in the external appearance, but also inside, where work is being carried out. The working environment in the wooden building is inspiring and inviting. The warm colours and the natural texture of the wood create a pleasant atmosphere that promotes the creativity and productivity of the employees.
The hall is designed as an engineered timber construction, with the roof structure of the factory hall consisting of impressive 30 metre long trusses. The company also remained true to its principles when designing the façade, choosing cross-laminated timber elements (best wood CLT), which are coated with a special colour on the outside. The lower part of the building was constructed in accordance with the standards of a German KfW-55 building and, in addition to storage space, also contains offices and the plumber's workshop.
The new building offers the company the opportunity to integrate new production methods and significantly increase the degree of prefabrication in order to be able to offer customers modern timber construction in the future. We think: A fantastic building that perfectly combines sustainability, innovation and craftsmanship!
